Geneva, 16 September, 2026 — A1 Telekom Austria has commenced the transmission of the HD version of the Da Vinci channel for Central and Eastern Europe, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between A1 and CosmoBlue Media. Previously, A1 carried only the SD version of the channel for internal use within the A1 Group.

Under a new three-year contract, A1 will provide CosmoBlue Media with a comprehensive suite of broadcast services, including uplink services, satellite capacity, conditional access system integration, as well as round-the-clock monitoring and technical support. This partnership represents a major step forward in delivering premium HD content to audiences across the region.

The parties are currently exploring opportunities to further strengthen their partnership through the rollout of CosmoBlue- and Da Vinci-branded applications and channel offerings across A1 territories.

The agreement enables CosmoBlue Media to deliver a high-quality HD signal to platforms and operators throughout Europe. The Da Vinci HD channel is being distributed to clients across Central and Eastern Europe, including Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Serbia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Greece.

Uplink services are operated from the Aflenz Teleport in Austria to the Eutelsat 16A satellite, ensuring reliable and wide-reaching coverage for the channel’s growing audience across the CEE region.
